The greater wax moth, also known as Galleria mellonella, is a well-known problem for beekeepers. This trap, originally designed to control certain pantry moths, can also be used when storing beekeeping equipment because the sex pheromones that attract male wax moths are similar. Its principle is simple: the trap releases an attractant intended to draw in adult males.

It is used in an enclosed space, such as a shed, workshop or room used to store beekeeping equipment. Each trap remains effective for approximately 6 weeks. The pack of 3 traps makes it possible to cover a larger area or plan several successive replacements.

The Subito moth trap offers several benefits for beekeepers who want to prevent wax moth infestations without using an insecticide treatment.

The active ingredient in this wax moth trap is a sex pheromone designed to attract adult males. The device therefore works without insecticide and relies on targeted attraction.

The product comes in a pack of 3 traps, allowing you to cover several areas or replace traps over the weeks. For optimal use, allow approximately 1 trap per 10 m² of storage space.

For effective protection, it is advisable to combine use of the trap with regular inspections of the equipment.

Regular monitoring combined with preventive action helps keep risks under control.

The Subito moth trap stands out for its use of a sex pheromone, without insecticide. It targets adult males to disrupt reproduction and limit new generations.

The pack of 3 traps also offers flexible use. In particular, you can:

It does not replace sorting frames or removing components already infested with larvae.

Effectively protect your stored comb from greater wax moth infestations with this pack of 3 Subito pheromone traps.
