DEXTRIPROTECT® is an innovative bio-based solution designed to disrupt the relationship between pests and plants, thereby reducing insect attacks and safeguarding crop yields. This product is 100% plant-derived, falls within the scope of European Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 concerning natural substances used as biostimulants, and is suitable for organic farming as well as compatible with biocontrol strategies.

Unlike a conventional insecticide that acts directly on pests, DEXTRIPROTECT® acts upstream, at the plant–pest interface, through three complementary mechanisms:

1. Masking olfactory signals: the product modifies the volatile compounds naturally emitted by the plant, making it harder for insect pests to locate.
2. Disrupting visual and chemical recognition: DEXTRIPROTECT® alters the chemistry of the leaf surface, interfering with the recognition signals insects normally use before laying eggs or feeding.
3. A taste-based feeding deterrent: the plant becomes less palatable, limiting feeding by chewing and sucking insects present on the crop.

This approach targets a broad spectrum of pests, including chewing insects (caterpillars, beetles, noctuid moths, flea beetles) and sucking insects (aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers). DEXTRIPROTECT serves a wide range of professional sectors: ornamental horticulture (flowering plants, roses, foliage plants, ornamental shrubs), nurseries (young plants, trees, shrubs, conifers, forestry seedlings), PPAM (lavender, thyme, rosemary, aromatic plants) and citrus crops (mandarin, lemon and orange trees).

The recommended application rate is 2,5 L/ha, with a recommended dilution of 1 liter per 40 liters of water. A single application is generally sufficient; repeat according to the level of pest pressure observed.
